We Miss You Guys

Reverend Kenneth Hunt: Went to be with the Lord in October of 2008. Ken was one of our personal friends and adviser.

"No man is an island, entire of itself; every man is a piece of the continent, a part of the main. If a clod be washed away by the sea, Europe is the less, as well as if a promontory were, as well as if a manor of thy friend's or of thine own were: any man's death diminishes me, because I am involved in mankind, and therefore never send to know for whom the bells tolls; it tolls for thee."

John Donne Devotions upon Emergent Occasions, no. 17 (Meditation) 1624 (published)

God gave Chaplain Danny Haney Sr. a better offer than we could. Danny went home to be with the Lord in December of 2008. This one really took the wind out of our sail for a while. Danny had the same heart that we have for youth outreach.

We love you Danny and we miss ya'!

Like the time Danny dyed his hair pink, because the youth group rose to his challenge to raise $5,000 dollars to fund a children's outreach. They did and he dyed his hair, as seen here.

And our lovely Grace Bunting, the local-oral historian passed from our care into the hands of the Lord in the spring of 2007. The Mourning Doves cooed outside the parlor window throughout the service. Grace helped Cyndy tie forty-eight quilts for pre-teens and teenagers during the summer of 2003.
